Are you looking for a style of dance that allows movements to flow easily and naturally throughout your body? Something that is also paired with a melodious rhythm and music to get you in the mood to dance and feel good? This blog post will highlight a harmonious experienced dance in Hamilton, Raglan, and online that is available in various classes.

Dance is an excellent way to become in-tune with your body and appreciate the harmony of life and the things around you. This dance technique will provide seasoned dancers with new, exciting, and invigorating movements while providing a wide range of fantastic benefits. But what exactly is this dance style called?

Experience Harmony Through The Movements of Nia Dance

Nia Dance is a one-of-a-kind, non-impact and highly adaptable movement art that is made up of a total of 52 movements. Each movement is based on three martial arts, three healing arts, and three dance arts. Nia Dance is also sometimes defined as a holistic fitness; based on the unique architecture of the human body, this technique was created to promote your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health and well-being.

As mentioned before, Nia Dance is made up of and inspired by 9 different movement arts. Some of these include Tai Chi, Alexander Technique, and Yoga. It also incorporates some of the verbal practices and mindfulness techniques that originate from these arts. The aim of this incorporation is to teach all Nia Dance participants the tools and skills to help create and maintain a mindful and healthy lifestyle.

If you’re a seasoned dancer, you’ve likely practised several different dance techniques and styles. Nia Dance is unique and unlike any other dance or kind of fitness. When it comes to mental healing and providing harmony in your life through health or mood, Nia Dance helps you keep positive energy both inside and outside of class. The technique also teaches you to pay attention to your body and become in-tune with the movements that feel right for you.

As an experienced dancer, you’re likely to also be more comfortable improvising dance movements. Something great about Nia Dance is that, since it’s highly adaptable, it’s easy to personalise the moves and add your own flair and personality to the dance. You can truly feel as though you’re dancing as your body wants you to in beautiful harmony.
