Active Class Getting into the Moves!
How Advanced is Nia Dance?
Nia Dance is a form of healing arts, martial arts, and dance arts, and was designed to cater towards beginners, the experienced, and even those with recovering injuries or suffering serious ailments. If you feel as though you’re a skilled dancer and confident in your abilities, Nia With Belinda offers the Classic Nia class which is the most ideal for those who are experienced. Your teacher, Belinda Goodwin, offers multiple levels of difficulty for workouts within every lesson so you can ensure you’re participating at the level you’re most comfortable with.
Belinda is currently progressing through her brown belt in the Nia Technique, further enhancing her skills in practicing and teaching mindfulness, Nia Dance, and the Art of Perception. She also has her white, green, and blue belts, making her an advanced teacher in Nia Dance and leaving you in the best possible hands.
Certifications can be found here.
Why Should I Choose Nia Dance Over Other Dance Groups?
Other dance groups focus solely on a specific form of dance or dance routines designed to target your physical activity, but Nia Dance was designed to improve your connection to yourself, physically, emotionally, and mentally. The 52 movements that you’ll come to learn range from martial art techniques to yoga practices, to other forms of dance. This makes Nia Dance unique, allowing you to experience a range of motions that focus on leading a healthy and significant life, inside and outside of class. Nia Dance will leave you feeling energised, clear-headed, and balanced throughout the day, and teach you the skills you need to maintain this level of mindfulness and health.

What If I’m Not Located in the Raglan Area?
There’s no need to worry! As well as having classes available in Hamilton, Nia With Belinda also offers online Zoom sessions for every class, allowing you to access and engage from across New Zealand, or even internationally! The best part is that every Zoom session takes place while the corresponding physical class happening, meaning you can experience the same connection as if you were there.
