If you’re dealing with the recovery journey of a physical injury, whether it’s mild back pain or sprained ankle, Nia Dance Move to Heal is an ideal class for you.
If you’re a newcomer to dance or fitness, a senior, or require softer movements, Gentle Nia is a great recommended class. Classic Nia is recommended for advanced dancers or those with higher levels of mobility. Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance is a class designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s and their caregivers.

There are two online options available: 24-hour purchasable replays and live Zoom sessions. The 24-hour replays can be viewed and purchased here. Each replay is a recording of a class, making it an hour-long, and can be viewed as many times as you want within the 24-hour time slot. Zoom sessions are available for each class at Dance NZ and capture the physical class live.
This method of video-sharing creates a similar connection to the environment, your teacher, and your peers as if you were attending in person. Moreover, each option of attendance and participation will have its pros and cons specific to you. Depending on your schedule, transportation and location, and underlying responsibilities, you can make the decision that best suits you. • Classic Nia classes are at Waikato Sports & Fishing Club, Tuesday at 5:30 pm (Grantham Street, Hamilton). Physical classes and Zoom sessions are open for booking here.
• Gentle Nia classes are at Raglan Town Hall, Wednesday at 9:30 am (located on 41 Bow Street, Raglan). Physical classes and Zoom sessions are open for booking here.
