Focus on Your Happiness and Allow Nia Dance to Change Your Life
You might be wondering, “What is Nia Dance”? Nia Dance, sometimes also referred to as the Nia Technique, is a holistic movement art. It can, and at times is, categorised as dance or fitness. The technique consists of 52 stylised movements that are inspired by three healing arts, 3 martial arts, and 3 dance arts.
These original arts that the movements are adapted from include tai-chi, Duncan dance, yoga, and the Alexander technique. Nia Dance’s unique blend of techniques brings not only happiness through fun, adaptable movement but through mindfulness techniques behind the movements.
The music played during a Nia Dance routine also helps to create and boost happiness levels within your mind, body and soul. Nia Dance music is specifically developed and chosen to not only stimulate your nervous system and organs, but to also produce sensations of calm and feelings of joy through binaural frequencies, and open and activate your body’s seven chakras. The melodic and harmonious music involves a combination of a wide range of instruments that help create feelings of joy within you.
