At least once a week, it’s important to do something you love and enjoy. Participating in something you like can boost the fun and happiness you’re experiencing in your life. It’s even more beneficial when the activity you take part in is good for your health and well-being too. Today’s blog will be talking about dance fitness fun in Hamilton, going into detail about the technique, its benefits, and the amount of fun you can have doing it alone or in a group!

The Fun Nia Dance Can Bring To Your Life

Nia Dance is an ideal activity for you if you’re looking for a form of fitness that’s fun and easy on the body! It’s a low-impact, highly flexible technique that teaches you to listen to your body instead of fighting it with unnatural movements. Because you’re not forcing yourself to perform actions that may feel painful or uncomfortable, Nia Dance will leave you feeling rejuvenated, happy, and on top of the world after each workout.

Unlike other dance or fitness techniques, Nia Dance focuses on having fun with the movements rather than performing them which reduces your sweating, exhaustion, and discomfort during and after a Nia routine. The roots of Nia Dance originate from several martial arts, healing arts, and dance arts. The 52 movements that make up Nia Dance are inspired by these different movement arts and translate into an adaptable form of dance and fitness!

This makes it an ideal practice for anybody seeking to find more fun in their life or want to try something new. Nia Dance provides a lot of health benefits, including mental, lifestyle, emotional, and physical benefits. Physical benefits can include weight loss, increased muscular strength or toning, higher levels of mobility and flexibility, pain relief, improved organ and cognitive function, better bodily circulation, and heightened sensory awareness.

Reduced stress, lessened symptoms of depression or anxiety, and enhanced mood with a productive or happier attitude towards life are some of the mental and emotional wellness advantages. Other benefits can include strengthening bonds between friends and family, creating new social relationships, self-discovery, spiritual connection, and newfound joy and fun in everyday life.

Experience Dance Fitness Fun at Dance NZ

Dance NZ provides several Nia Dance classes in various designs that cater to various levels of mobility, abilities, and accessibility. There are classes for those recovering from injuries or illnesses (Nia Dance Move to Heal), beginners (Gentle Nia), experienced dancers (Classic Nia), and even a class for people with Parkinson’s disease and their caretakers (Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance).

Your Dance NZ teacher, Belinda Goodwin, strives not only to offer the best possible guidance and support to all of her students but also to make sure that everyone has fun participating. Each and every class provides a judgment-free, positive and fun environment for you and your peers. Belinda has her white, green, blue and brown belt in the Nia Technique, making her a knowledgeable and observant Nia Technique instructor.

Dance NZ offers a range of options for attending or viewing courses, making it great for people who have a busy schedule but still want to try and make space for extra fun in their routine. Physical lessons, which are offered at several places around Raglan and Hamilton, are temporarily closed due to the Auckland and Hamilton region lockdown. At the moment, the only method to attend live classes is to take them online. Online sessions are hosted on Zoom and are a great way to start the day with excitement or end the night with fun and dance.

Purchased replays of various classes are accessible on the Dance NZ website. After purchasing, you have a full 24-hours to watch the class replay of your choosing as many times as you like to your heart’s content. This is a fantastic alternative for those who can’t make any of the mentioned options work but still want to experience the fun and joy of Nia Dance.
