Participate Online At Dance NZ

Dance NZ is a New Zealand based Nia Dance company with in-person classes based in Raglan and Hamilton as well as HYBRID-style classes available online. All of Dance NZ’s online classes are held using Zoom, a video-sharing tool created specifically for one-on-one conversations, seminars and conferences, and other meeting groups.

Zoom is a free app that can be downloaded for most platforms, including tablets, phones, and desktops. Once you’ve downloaded Zoom, you’ll be able to schedule any Dance NZ class for online. Dance NZ’s online HYBRID-style classes record live, in-person classes, allowing you to keep a strong and similar degree of connection to the class, your teacher, and your classmates.

Because accessing and seeing lessons online from a smartphone or tablet might be challenging, it’s best to move the video stream to the largest screen you have accessible, such as your TV. You can stream a Zoom live video from any device to your TV if you have a smart TV or Chromecast. Alternatively, if you have a laptop and an HDMI cable, you may transfer the visual Zoom livestream from your TV to your laptop.

HYBRID-Style and Replays

When taking part in HYBRID-style classes, you can have the option of maintaining comfort in privacy by leaving your microphone and camera off. Alternatively, you can leave both on and be able to communicate with your peers and teachers if you wish. With either option, you’ll be able to see you teacher, Belinda, the entire time, as well as others who have left their cameras on.

If you can’t commit to a certain time and date, Dance NZ also offers 24-hour replays that may be purchased on the Dance NZ website here. These are ideal for busy workers or individuals with unpredictable schedules! These replays cover one class and are available for purchase and viewing for a 24-hour period. This allows you to watch and participate at your leisure; you can also watch as many times as you like and utilise tools like rewind, fast-forward, and pause to practise a specific movement or master the routine.
