One of the most important factors in changing your life positively is surrounding yourself with people who are also on the same journey as you to happiness. Connecting with people who are seeking joy, positivity and friendship can help you on your life-affirming journey as well as ensure that you’re always surrounded with positive energy. This blog will be talking about a fantastic, life-affirming dance online that can boost your journey towards a happier, more social lifestyle by connecting you with new people and energising your mind, body and soul with good energy.

Change Your Life and Fill It With Joy With Nia Dance

Nia Dance, commonly known as the Nia Technique, is movement in the form of dance that is one of the most adaptable styles available to participate in. You may be wondering how a simple dance form can change your life in a significantly positive way. Well, Nia Dance is made up of three healing arts, three dance arts, and three martial arts, all uniquely combined into 52 stylized motions.

Each movement is designed to be easily adjustable to your body’s needs and abilities and is non-impact too. This allows you to be able to have fun while performing Nia Dance and not worry about little things like tiring out, being able to perform a movement correctly, or potentially injuring yourself. Being able to let loose and have fun with Nia Dance allows your mind to drift or focus on subtle things like how your body feels or how the music is impacting you.

The music used in Nia Dance can impact you positively in many ways. Made up of binaural frequencies and specifically used instruments and chords, Nia music can bring double the positivity when paired with Nia Dance. The many benefits of this style of music involve the creation and enhancement of happiness within your mind, body, and spirit, exciting your nervous system and organs, promoting the emotions of serenity and joy, and activating your body’s seven chakras. All these benefits can significantly boost your happiness and change your lifestyle for the better, creating long-term, positive change.

Affirm Your Life With Positivity at Dance NZ

At Dance NZ, you can participate in Nia Dance with like-minded individuals in a positive environment with a supportive, guiding instructor. Whether you want to join a class online or in-person, a social connection is always something you’ll experience at Dance NZ. In-person classes are held in varying venues in the Hamilton and Raglan areas. Online classes are available through Zoom

Dance NZ offers five distinct classes, each providing the same life-affirming benefits. The only difference with each of these classes is the design, with each class better suited for particular abilities or specific goals, such as healing pain or improving symptoms of Parkinson’s. Nia Dance Move to Heal is a class that focuses heavily on gentle movement and pain relief. The movements in this session were designed to help persons recovering from accidents or illnesses.

Classic Nia and Gentle Nia are both acceptable for dancers of all abilities, however, Gentle Nia is recommended for people with restricted mobility or who prefer gentle exercises. Classic Nia is seen to be better suited to more experienced dancers. Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance is a Parkinson’s dance class that is only open to those who have Parkinson’s disease and their carers.

Depending on the class you choose and the reason for this, you’re likely to find individuals who are not only on the same journey as you seeking positive life-affirming influence, but also people who can relate to your abilities and individual needs. This can help you feel more supported by being able to relate to others in a similar situation and be related to.
