Dance NZ is a Hamilton and Raglan based Nia Dance organisation. With 5 different classes uniquely designed and available both online and in-person, there’ll be something for you.

Nia Dance Move to Heal is an approved Waikato Strength and Balance class for seniors or those with mobility issues. Depending on the style of class, different moves and routines are used; Nia Dance Move to Heal uses movements that demand less mobility and joint flexibility. Also, actions that are gentle on the body while still providing all of the advantages of a highly skilled Nia Dance class. 

Each action or set of movements is presented at a variety of levels in class. This means the option of performing exercises at a level that is more comfortable for you. Or at a level that pushes your boundaries. As mentioned prior, if you reside in Hamilton and want to experience and undergo your rehabilitation in a social, friendly, and non-judgmental atmosphere, Nia Dance Move to Heal is offered as a physical class. Don’t worry if you don’t have access to transportation, live in Hamilton, or have the physical ability to attend though. Nia Dance Move to Heal is also available online through the Zoom application.

• The location (based at the venue Grantham Street in Hamilton) of Classic Nia Tuesday sessions (5:30 pm) is Waikato Sports Fishing Club. Nia classes can be organised here

• Gentle Nia sessions on Wednesday (9:30 a.m.) may be organised here. Classes take place within the location of Raglan Town Hall (41 Bow Street, Raglan). 

• Classic Nia Friday lessons (9:30 a.m.) can be arranged here. They take place in Saint John’s Hall, the venue (located at 20 Wellington Street, Hamilton).

• Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance Friday classes (12:00 pm) occur at the venue location of Saint John’s Hall (located on 20 Wellington Street, Hamilton), and can be organised here
