The Dance for Parkinson’s Disease website includes a list of 38 scientific research studies on the subject.

Nia Dance has been shown to be especially effective for people with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease, according to research. Nia Dance appears to assist Parkinson’s patients to improve their walk and balance. It can also provide social stimulation and support, which can aid in the reduction of depression and the improvement of overall quality of life.
