Taking care of your well-being is an extremely important thing to maintain. Many individuals prioritise physical health over mental health and wellness when a balance of both is best for you and your being. This blog will be discussing an incredible dance for wellness in Hamilton

Prioritising your mental health and improving your wellness can help with productivity, reduces numerous health risks, and reduce stress and tensions. Dance can be an excellent way to boost wellness and mental health. But what dance is best for you?

How Nia Dance Can Impact Your Well-Being

Nia Dance is a special, non-impact dance style that is defined by 52 unique movements. Each movement is based on a martial art, healing method, or dancing form. Tai Chi, Duncan dance, and Yoga are some of the practises that inspire Nia Dance. Nia Dance also incorporates verbal teachings of these arts and mindfulness techniques in order to teach you skills and provide you with tools to help you create and maintain a mindful and healthy lifestyle.

Nia Dance is considered to be a very successful holistic method that is more than just exercise or a type of dance. All motions are designed to focus on the intricate network of the human body and give a wide range of mental, physical, and spiritual advantages. Nia Dance gives you a fun, effective, and soothing workout that guides you to live a better, more conscious life.

Nia Dance also guides you to listen to your body and adapt movements to what feels natural to you. As a result, Nia Dance exercises won’t leave you feeling hot, tired, or sore after a workout. All 52 motions are extremely customizable to each individual’s skills and needs, and you can even add your own unique flair and style to the movements to truly feel like you’re dancing how your mind, body and soul wants you to. This leads to a healthier soul, body and mind.

When it comes to mental healing and boosting your health or mood, the Nia Dance moves, music and teachings can help you keep a positive mindset and energy both inside and outside of class.

Feel Well at Dance NZ

Dance NZ offers a variety of wellness and mental healing classes. All classes are also accessible online as live Zoom sessions and 24-hour class replays. Online Zoom sessions are held at the same date and time as in-person classes. Replays may be bought for a 24-hour period and can be watched as many times as you wish within this timeframe.

When you’re at home, replays provide you with the greatest flexibility, whether your schedule prohibits you from committing to a certain class or you’re in a different area that’s too far away from in-person sessions. Online sessions are perfect if you can only participate from home but have more flexibility with your schedule. In-person classes are held at various locations within Hamilton and Raglan.

All Dance NZ classes, with the exception of Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance, are available to everyone. Each class is planned differently in order to specifically suit the different needs and abilities of individuals. Classic Nia, for example, is appropriate for experienced dancers or dance aficionados, whereas Gentle Nia is ideal for beginners.

Nia Dance Move to Heal is a class designed to help provide healing to those who are dealing with injuries or discomfort, or just need softer movements. Finally, Nia for Parkinson’s Freedom Dance is for Parkinson’s individuals and their guardians alone. This class combines gentle yet stimulating movements to help improve Parkinson’s symptoms.
