The Benefits of Nia Dance to Dancers

Nia Dance can give a diverse range of benefits, both physically and emotionally. When done correctly and consistently, Nia Dance can improve flexibility and mobility between joints, release muscle tension, ease pain from injuries, and soothe anxiety and reduce depression with joyous and calm energy.

Nia With Belinda provides Classic Nia classes for skilled dancers to participate in; while this class is open to anyone and everyone, it’s better suited for those who have dance experience and confidence in their abilities.

What About Other Dance?

Nia Dance, unlike other dance forms, focuses on physical, mental, and spiritual improvement and stimulation, rather than practicing a specific variation of movements to perfect visual performance.

While other forms of dance are made up of movement that is similar to a high pace workout, Nia Dance is a technique uniquely composed of mixed styles within healing arts, martial arts, and dance arts. Nia Dance is simplistic, relaxing, and a great option for those who are experienced and also produces a fantastic workout that will leave you to feel refreshed rather than tired and sweaty.

Other dance routines may provide a short mental boost afterward due to endorphins, however, Nia Dance practices to improve and build your mental and emotional wellbeing.
